The leaders of the bureau attached great importance and verified on the spot: Songshan Village, Moshan Village, Yalu Village and Lupai Village of Yanji Town each had an illegal small workshop for pickling diamond cutter heads. The yellow poisonous smog generated during the open work of these four small workshops was irritating, the waste water caused the necrosis of the surrounding crops, and no preventive measures were taken during the production process. The small workshop was a project prohibited by the national industrial policy. It should be resolutely banned.
Yesterday, the Ezhou Environmental Protection Bureau, together with the Echeng District Party Committee and the District Government, formed a joint law enforcement class of nearly 20 people with the Yanji Town People's Government and the Yanji Police Station. A total of 6 law enforcement vehicles were dispatched. After a day of hard work, 4 companies were destroyed. The pickling equipment of the small workshop, the 35 barrels of about 2 tons of pickling raw material hydrochloric acid was confiscated on site, and the hydrochloric acid was promptly sent to a chemical company in Gedian Development Zone for harmless disposal. The action was a complete success.
