**I. Overview**
1. **Purpose**: This document is designed to provide clear guidance to operators on the proper handling and usage of liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen. It outlines safe procedures, operational steps, and safety precautions to ensure efficient and secure operation of cryogenic systems.
2. **Equipment Used**: The main equipment involved includes cryogenic liquid storage tanks, gasifiers, and pressure regulators. These components work together to store, transport, and regulate the flow of cryogenic gases.
**II. Operational Procedures**
1. **Preparation Before Gas Supply**
- 1.1 Check the tank pressure to ensure it is within the normal operating range.
- 1.2 Slowly open the liquid outlet valve and, once the tank reaches the required pressure, open the inlet valve of the pressure regulator.
2. **Gas Supply Process**
- 2.1 Once the system pressure stabilizes, proceed to open the liquid outlet valve.
- 2.2 After the evaporator and gas station are activated, open the air supply valve to begin gas delivery.
3. **Shut-Down Procedure**
- 3.1 Close the outlet valve and booster valve to stop the flow of gas.
- 3.2 Turn off the pre-regulation valve to deactivate the gas station.
4. **Troubleshooting**
- 4.1 If the pressure becomes too high, open the vent valve to release excess pressure.
- 4.2 If the pressure is too low, activate the booster valve and the boost switch to increase pressure.
- 4.3 In case the safety valve trips due to overpressure, open the vent valve to reduce pressure in the tank. Then close the safety valve and monitor the tank pressure closely.
- 4.4 If a leak is detected, take immediate corrective actions and inform the Factory Facilities Section as soon as possible.
**III. Operating Parameters**
- The transport pressure for both oxygen and nitrogen must remain between 0.45 MPa and 0.6 MPa.
- Under normal conditions, the front and rear valves of the outlet and pressure regulating valves should be open, while the vent valve should remain closed.
- When the liquid level drops below 25% of the reserve, the shifting department must promptly notify the supplier. If contact cannot be established, the power supervisor should be informed immediately to arrange for gas supply.
**IV. Maintenance**
- Patrol personnel should not adjust any valves or decompression devices without authorization. Any issues found should be reported to the Factory Facilities Section.
- All repair work must be carried out by qualified maintenance staff from BOC Gas Company.
**V. Inspection and 5S Activities**
- Patrol personnel must record the liquid levels in the storage tanks every hour for both liquid oxygen and nitrogen.
- During the refilling process, on-site monitoring is essential to ensure that the pressure does not interfere with production.
- Accurate records of the amount of liquid added must be maintained.
- After filling, closely monitor the pressure in the storage tanks for 24 hours. If pressure fluctuations are significant, discharge the tank immediately to maintain stable pressure.
- Keep a close watch on the liquid tank's capacity. If the minimum level is reached, contact the gas supplier promptly.
- If the evaporator becomes heavily frosted, perform defrosting as needed.
**VI. Safety Measures**
- Operators must use antifreeze tools when opening or closing valves and piping.
- Only water should be used for thawing equipment, pipes, and valves. Do not use fire, impact, or electric heating.
- Oil and oxygen storage tanks must be kept free of oil. Avoid contact with acidic, alkaline, or oily substances.
- In the event of a liquid nitrogen leak, staff may be at risk of suffocation. Ensure that all personnel stay as far away as possible during tank emptying.
- Only authorized personnel are allowed to enter areas where liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen are stored.
**VII. Environmental Protection**
- Prevent leaks and implement energy-saving measures to protect the environment.
