In terms of market size, about 20% of the 50 million square meters of solar panels produced annually are used in agricultural greenhouses. In North America and Europe, the figure is much higher—70% of the 60 million square meters of solar panels per year go into greenhouse applications. As China continues to develop its agricultural sector, high-efficiency greenhouses are becoming a key focus. With a large population and limited arable land, the country is pushing forward with demonstration projects that integrate advanced technologies. The fourth generation of greenhouses will likely rely heavily on solar panel materials, making them more efficient and environmentally friendly. Additionally, Mi-shaped solar panels are increasingly being used in building facades, expanding their application beyond just agriculture.
