Experiences of using gibberellin and cytokinin to preserve fruit In the early 1980s, our county first applied gibberellin (GA) and cytokinin (BA) to preserve fruit in non-nuclear varieties such as navel orange and mandarin orange. Promoted to nuclear varieties such as Jin Orange. Some experience and lessons learned in practice are summarized below.
1 The application period and frequency of hormone-preserving fruit can be sprayed with BA or BA and gibberellin mixture before the first physiological fruit drop period (ie, the young fruit with fruit stalks) 5 to 7 days after the flowering; In the sub-physiological fruit drop period (ie, without the fruit stalk shedding), use BA or gibberellin to stipulate; if there is drought, the fruit will be preserved before the rain. The number of treatments is determined by the growth state of the plant, the degree of fruit drop, the drought condition, and the fruit-preserving effect.
Comparison of 2 points of pedicel fruit and spray tree and fruit preservation The practice shows that the point pedicle has better effect than the tree-spraying fruit, especially in the second physiological fruit drop and the drought period. The concentration of the stimulating agent is easy to prepare accurately, the consumption of the liquid is small, and it is not easy to cause phytotoxicity. The amount of sprayed tree liquid is large, and it is difficult to grasp the concentration. If the concentration is too low to achieve the purpose of fruit preservation, the concentration is too large, resulting in leaf deformity, curling, tarnishing, thickening of the peel, and vertical swelling of the liquid flow, which seriously affects the appearance of the fruit.
3 Preparation of fruit-preserving liquid cytokinin: Put 1 gram of cytokinin into a small container, add a little 95% alcohol or shochu, heat to dissolve in boiling water, and then miscible with 250 grams of soy milk and 3.5 kg of water. It is about 250ppm of cytokinin solution.
Gibberellin: After dissolving 1 g of gibberellin by the above method, it is miscible with 3.5 kg of water to form a gibberellin solution of about 300 ppm.
The mixture of cytokinin and gibberellin should be formulated with BA first, followed by gibberellin, and gibberellin solution is added to the cytokinin solution. Add 1% agricultural spreader before use. After being allocated, it can be distributed to fruit farmers for use, which is both economical and accurate, in order to improve hormone utilization. Formulation of 1 g of gibberellin and BA can point 8,000 to 11,000 young fruits.
