The next phase involves conducting industrial trials under experimental conditions provided by Chengdu Bus Co., Ltd., with the goal of preparing for future large-scale implementation. The technology is now ready for real-world application.
According to reports, this intelligent emergency safety door aims to address a critical issue: during emergencies such as fires on city or highway buses, passengers may panic and attempt to push the door inward, making it difficult to open. The new system integrates seamlessly with the existing door mechanism. In normal driving conditions, if someone accidentally presses the emergency button, the smart system will recognize that the vehicle is operating normally and will not trigger the door to open.
The emergency safety door will automatically open outward under several specific scenarios: when the flammable or toxic gas detection system identifies dangerous levels of gases inside the vehicle, when the fire monitoring system detects combustion, or when the collision detection system senses a severe impact. At these moments, the system will activate both audible and visual alarms. If the vehicle is stationary, the door will open immediately. However, if the car is still in motion, the system will wait until it comes to a complete stop before opening the door outward, giving passengers a crucial window of time to escape safely.
