The Second China International Internet of Things Conference ended in Wuxi. Academician Liu Yunjie, who has been hailed as the "Father of the Internet in China," believes that the prospects for the development of today's Internet of Things industry are very good, but they still face many difficulties and challenges. The most important thing is that we must solve the challenges faced by science and technology, people's livelihood and social progress.

The Chinese government’s guidance of the Internet of Things as a grand goal to change the world’s economic growth has caused a lot of questions. After all, innovation is not the wishful thinking of the government. It is even less capable of creating whim and creating something out of thin air. Uncovering the appearance of China’s impressive data (such as patent filing data), real innovation is often less than what people see.

In spite of this, there are differences between the questioning and mocking of the Internet of Things. On October 20th, 2011, after attending the 2nd China International Internet of Things Conference and the China Internet of Things (Sensor Network) Expo for the same period, it was a mistake to profoundly realize that ignoring or ignoring China’s innovation ambitions. In this session of the International Internet of Things Conference, which is different from the past, more than 70% of the participants in the conference were professional audiences, and there were many in-line media participants. They were basically professionals in the industry. The audience comes from 26 provinces and municipalities across the country. Among them are Chinese Academy of Sciences and Fudan University Institutes. At the same time, there are researchers from China Mobile and China Telecom, researchers from famous multinational corporations, and senior executives of private enterprises from across the country who are engaged in the Internet of Things industry, and many venture capital institutions. In general, they are more concerned about the results of technological innovation transformation and new business opportunities.

In recent years, with the continuous advancement of the Internet of Things industry, the industry has come to the heart of the professional nature of multi-faceted groups to restore the true stage. In an interview with the Expo team on the Wuxi Sensor Network Industrial Park, Wuxi, known for its beauty in Taihu Lake, has become another brand new business card in Wuxi. The planned area is 8.4 square kilometers, and the “four parks and one center” core functional area with the focus on sensor network innovation park, industrial park, information service park, university science park and sensor network application and exhibition center (perceived China Expo Park) is The exhibition halls, manufacturing facilities and laboratories have been built up, new research facilities and a new headquarters, field research projects in the park, and the high-end talent cultivation base for the well-known Internet of Things have become quite full. In addition, the Internet of Things research institutes and other investment companies that are already in the same size in the Second District have incubated a number of innovative industries and enterprises and become small and medium enterprises incubators. It is not difficult to see that even before the new Internet of Things technology was launched, basic technology research has been carried out in all aspects of innovation and research.

Enterprises are constantly increasing technological research and technological innovation. The government hopes that the development of the Internet of Things can enable simultaneous application and improvement of application demonstrations and standards development. Experts said that after two or three years, the government will invest more funds in many places in the early period. And enterprise application demonstration projects, hope that these application demonstrations do not become spurious things, but become replicable and scalable models. It is precisely this model that requires the country to make appropriate guidance in the application areas and standards as soon as possible, which is also the current national general considerations at the application demonstration and standards level.

Since there is such a vision and development momentum, why do we have to absorb many foreign R&D enterprise clusters in Wuxi? Shen Jie, an ISO/IEC JTC1 international standards expert in China, said that this is because we need to conduct research and development in the place where corporate customers are located. This approach to customers can obtain industry market intelligence and an important way to quickly respond to business needs. With the explicit support of the government and the relatively mature industrial clusters as the path, Wuxi, as an important R&D area in China, effectively increased the capital investment of foreign companies. Investors who have injected capital into the capital market have also achieved an extensible growth and achieved strong economic growth. Therefore, companies such as EMC, Siemens, Panasonic, and Donaldson will all use Wuxi as a core position for targeted R&D services.
