The ONU equipment area uses a standard 19-inch rack system for mounting the ONU device either vertically or horizontally. For stability, additional reinforcement brackets may be added if needed. Since ONUs from different manufacturers vary in depth, the reserved depth in this area should be at least 300 mm to accommodate all models. To make it easier to manage the ONU subscriber lines, several cable management loops are placed between the ONU and the power distribution area.
**Wiring Module Area:**
The wiring area is split into two parts: the inner line and outer line. The device-side subscriber lines connect to the inner line module, while the user-side incoming lines connect to the outer line module. Jumpers are used to link the two, enabling user access. In PON+LAN environments, only POTS port jumpers are required, so the inner and outer line terminals have similar configurations. To account for redundancy, the device capacity should be set to 2.5 times the expected usage.
