Since the start of this year, Yunnan Power Grid Corporation has been actively working on integrated optimization of power generation, focusing on water, thermal, and renewable energy sources. From January to November, the company adjusted the total renewable energy generation capacity by 87.4 billion kWh, representing a 21.7% year-on-year increase. This accounted for 70.5% of the total electricity generated. According to the latest data, in the first 11 months of the year, the hydropower generated through unified adjustments reached 85.1 billion kWh, up 19.7% compared to the previous year. Wind power generation also saw significant growth, reaching 2.34 billion kWh, a sharp increase of 212% year-on-year. In addition to promoting clean energy, the company has been making efforts to improve energy efficiency in thermal power plants. It has been closely supervising and encouraging thermal power enterprises to strengthen the operation and maintenance of desulfurization facilities. Through energy-saving equipment upgrades and technological innovations, the desulfurization facility commissioning rate across the network reached 99.55%, with a desulfurization efficiency of 94.3%, an increase of 0.57 percentage points. As a result, sulfur dioxide emissions dropped to 458,000 tons. Meanwhile, the average coal consumption for power generation was reduced to 309.6 grams per kWh, down by 2.25 grams from the previous year, saving approximately 57,700 tons of standard coal. These measures demonstrate Yunnan Power Grid's commitment to sustainable development, environmental protection, and efficient energy utilization.
