Dongying PV plans to supply 7MWp components to India Despite financial challenges, CNPV Solar Power SA, a leading Chinese photovoltaic equipment manufacturer, continues to push forward with its global expansion strategy. Recently, the company announced a major contract to supply 7MWp of solar modules to the Navalakha Group in Maharashtra, India. The first shipment has already begun, marking a significant milestone for the firm. Dongying PV managed to outperform more than 20 other competitors to secure this deal, showcasing its growing reputation in the international market. This success comes on the heels of a key achievement—its single-crystal and polycrystalline silicon components recently passed Intertek’s potential-induced degradation (PID) test and received IEC62804 certification, further validating their quality and reliability. Ponsekar Periyanadar, Vice President of Sales at Dongying Photovoltaic South Asia, shared his insights on the competitive landscape: “The market is extremely tough, and suppliers are often forced to choose between lowering prices or truly understanding customer needs. We’ve chosen the latter path, focusing on delivering tailored technical solutions that align with our clients’ long-term goals.” He added, “This approach may take longer, but it’s what builds lasting relationships. We’re proud to have earned the trust of the respected Navalakha Group. After this initial 7MWp delivery in December, we expect to follow up with an additional 40–50MWp in 2013. It’s a clear sign that our strategy is working.”
