According to the China National Defense Science and Technology Information Network, researchers at North Carolina State University in the United States have made a breakthrough in spintronic technology. Their latest findings suggest that multi-functional smart sensors could soon be used in military applications and next-generation spintronic devices. The key material in this development is vanadium dioxide (VO₂), which can be integrated onto silicon chips and made magnetic using laser technology. Currently, vanadium dioxide is mainly used in infrared sensors. By embedding it as a single crystal on a silicon substrate, scientists are now able to develop smart infrared sensors that combine sensing and computing functions on one chip. This integration makes the sensors faster and more energy-efficient, as they no longer need to transfer data to another chip for processing. Without the need for a separate processor, these smart sensors are also lighter and more compact compared to traditional designs. This advancement is particularly promising for military use, where rapid data sensing, processing, and response are critical. The research team further enhanced the properties of VO₂ by using a high-power nanosecond pulsed laser, which induced magnetism in the material. This opens the door to creating spintronic smart sensors that can function as both infrared and magnetic sensors on a single chip. Spintronics is a field that leverages the spin of electrons and their magnetic properties to improve device performance. It offers potential benefits such as increased memory storage, faster data transmission, and higher computational power within a smaller chip footprint. The study’s findings were recently published in *Applied Physics Letters*, highlighting the growing interest in spintronic technologies for future electronics and defense systems. Through the analysis and demonstration of segment assembly technology at home and abroad, combined with previous experience in the design, production and construction of bridge formwork, after BY1203 and BY1306, the BY1507 automatic segment box girder prefabrication system was developed and launched. The segmental assembly template includes five parts: outer mold system, bottom mold system, blocking system (fixed end mold and mobile end mold), inner mold system and bottom mold trolley. The advantages of this method are that it occupies a small area, is easy to operate, is relatively small due to terrain restrictions, is relatively convenient to arrange beam fields, and has a high utilization rate of pedestals and templates.
